Brause was founded in 1850 in Iserlohn, Germany, a region famous for the quality of its steel and the skill of its craftsmen.
Brause manufactured a complete set of nibs considered by calligraphers to be among the best on the market. With over 100 years of manufacturing experience, Brause is one of the few companies to guarantee an essential quality for its nibs: a subtle balance between relative elasticity to facilitate writing, and the necessary resistance for clear pen strokes.
Set contents:
- 1 x NIb no. 65 (fine tip, hard nib)
- 1 x nib no. 361 (blue, hard nib with fine tip, highly elastic, high ink capacity)
- 1 x nib 76 (fine, movable nib)
- 1 x Natural wood nib holder
- 1 x Calligraphy brush
- 1 x Bottle of black India ink
- 1 x Manual booklets
TIP: New crowns have a temporary coat of varnish to protect them. It is advisable to remove that layer of varnish before first use. You can do this with a little soapy water or saliva. You can also quickly run the crown through a flame and then rinse it under cold water, but for very fragile crowns this is not such a good idea.
