Using primer and varnish is very important to achieve the optimal end result when using paint. You use primer before painting and varnish after. Using a primer offers two main advantages. First, the primer ensures that the substrate does not absorb the paint. This ensures that you need less paint. Primer also ensures that any dirty particles (such as marker markings or other paint colors) do not penetrate into the paint layer. This gives you an even coverage.

Varnish is a transparent lacquer that you apply over paint to protect the paint against moisture, fungi, wear and/or UV light. Varnish spray is available for various purposes. You can also choose between a matte, satin and glossy/high-gloss finish. The satin finish is in between matte and glossy.
