Masking and using stencils on bicycle frame

Masking and stenciling
After using initial masking techniques (e.g., with masking tape) or stenciling, it's always advisable to wait 20 minutes before placing the tape or stencil on the bicycle frame to ensure the paint is dry enough and won't be peeled off during removal.
Masking can sometimes create lines along the edges where paint has built up. Wait another 20 minutes to avoid pulling off that buildup when removing the stencil or mask (tape). Let the paint dry for at least 2 hours and remove any excess color by gently rubbing with a soft cloth.
Masking difficult areas
Sometimes, it's challenging to mask small or intricate areas (like main badges). When simple masking tape can't be used, there are alternatives. Thick grease can work well as it acts as a barrier between the surface and the paint. We've also experimented with margarine and even toothpaste with fantastic results
