It is recommended to always wash the textile before applying the chalk. Cover the drawing with a clean sheet of paper (preferably baking paper) and iron over it with a heated iron. As a result, the colors adhere to the textile and the drawing becomes permanent and can be washed with it from now on. The advantage is that as long as the chalk has not yet been ironed in, the drawing remains correctable or even completely erasable.
