Brush Pens
Brush pens are hugely popular because they are very easy to use and give beautiful results. With brush pens you can create great calligraphy letters in no time. Take a look at our range of high-quality brands, including brush pens from Ecoline and Edding. You will find brush pens in all sizes and colors.
What is a brush pen?
Brush pens have a flexible tip, which makes them look more like a brush or a marker. The brush tip is sensitive to pressure, so you can make various line widths. This tip allows you to write calligraphic letters very easily. Brush pens are ideal for hand lettering, for example in your bullet journal. The pen is filled with ink or paint. It is a lot easier than having to work with a loose brush and an ink bottle. This also makes them very handy to use on-the-go. Paint brush pens can be filled with any kind of paint, such as watercolor and acrylic.
How do you use a brush pen?
Using a brush pen takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly easy. Hold the pen close to the tip for extra control. Hold your hand at a 45 degree angle. Move the pen with your whole arm, not just your wrist, it is much smoother that way. Apply a little less pressure when drawing a line upward. When drawing a line down, it is better to apply a little more pressure. This way you get a nice variation in thickness of the lines. Never press very hard on the tip, it will wear out quickly.
Good luck with your brush pen drawings and art!
