What is a brush pen?

Brush pens have a flexible tip, which makes them look more like a brush or a marker. The brush tip is sensitive to pressure, so you can make various line widths. How do you use a brush pen?

Using a brush pen takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly easy. Hold the pen close to the tip for extra control. Hold your hand at a 45 degree angle. Move the pen with your whole arm, not just your wrist, it is much smoother that way. Apply a little less pressure when drawing a line upward. When drawing a line down, it is better to apply a little more pressure. This way you get a nice variation in thickness of the lines. Never press very hard on the tip, it will wear out quickly.
