What is Inktober?
Inktober is a month-long challenge in which you draw a picture of a particular subject in ink every day. The challenge was created by artist Jake Parker, to improve your drawing skills and develop positive habits. The idea is that every day you will draw a different subject that has been thought up by the people of Inktober. You can find those topics on their website or instagram.
How do I participate in Inktober?
Anyone can participate in this challenge. Post your drawing online at the end of the day with the hashtag #inktober. Just remember that the challenge is really meant for your own development, it is definitely not a competition.
What can I use for Inktober?
You can use anything that has to do with Ink. India ink, crown pen, fineliners, calligraphy pens, brush pens, ink markers, whatever you like! It’s also definitely recommended to use sturdy paper, which doesn’t push through. It’s fine to make a sketch with pencil, before you start drawing with ink. Above you will find everything you could use to get through this month flawlessly!
Good luck this Inktober!
